Olympus Trip 35 Film Rewind Button

Rewind Button

The Olympus Trip 35 rewind button disengages the sprocket wheels so that the film is free to move and wound back into its container. The assembly of this button has metal components, which may rust and jam over the years and require some cleaning. If you find that the rewind button is stuck, then this is the place to investigate. A thin spring clip holds the button in place, which requires removal first. You can just see the wire in this photograph.

Locking Plate

There is a metal key locking plate below the button.

Locking Plate and Nut Cap

Removing the main nut on the outside facilitates the removal of the key. The key locks the inner and outer cylinders together when depressed.

Spring

A small spring inside keeps the key pushed up.
