TDA7052

TDA7052 Circuit Diagram

The TDA7052 is a mono 1-watt amplifier for low voltage battery powered applications. The output stage uses the bridge-tied-load (BTL) principle, which allows the production of high output power within an 8 Ω load. Consequently, the amplifier is capable of producing maximum of 1.2-watts output with 10 % distortion with only 6 V power supply. The amplification (voltage gain) is fixed internally at 40 dB thereby making the device useful for amplifying small signals sufficiently to drive a loudspeaker. The IC operates on a wide range of voltages from 3 V to 18 V and a power supply capable of delivering at least 400 mA is required for best operation.

In the basic circuit shown, the overall gain of the module is set using a 10 kΩ variable resistor and a 1 kΩ fixed resistor. With this arrangement, the maximum gain will be 39 dB.
