The R-X400 and R-X400B (in black finish) were Computer-Controlled Dynamic Super-A Receiver/Amplifiers manufactured by the JVC Corporation of Japan. They were 80-watts (RMS) per channel systems with Super-A power amplifier technology, AM/FM digital synthesizer tuner, and 7-band graphic equalizer. Here is a list of some of their features.

The R-X400 and R-X400B were wonderful high-quality high-end amplifiers that are still highly sought after by audiophiles. The sound quality and functionality are still unsurpassed by todays standards and a unit in mint condition can fetch well over a hundred pounds in the pre-used market.
