JVC VP-100BPS
The VP-100BPS was a Digital Audio Processor manufactured by the JVC Corporation of Japan. It enabled the user to record in PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) digital format on a standard video cassette recorder. It had the following features.
- Digital tape recording on home video recorders
- Compatible with 14-bit EIAJ standard
- Digital specifications - greater than 86 dB dynamic range, flat response from 5 Hz to 20 kHz
- Separate line and microphone circuits for mixing

This was a wonderful piece of technology allowing one to record digitally on a video recorder. This is quite a rare one that I have not seen before. A good working one in mint condition could sell for well over fifty pounds or more.
