Mera pyaar Shalimar, translates to English as My love beautiful... It was a Hindi song from the 1978 film Shalimar, and sung by Asha Bhosle. Shalimar in Sanskrit, approximates to, abode of love, however it became a colloquial term in places of India to represent a beautiful place, and simply beautiful. Eventually from this came, Shalimar gardens, and temples, which were the most beautiful places in ancient India. Today in the UK, there are restaurants, hotels, and supermarkets, with the same name to describe them as beautiful.
