Mera pyaar Shalimar, translates to English as My love beautiful... It was a Hindi song from the 1978 film Shalimar, and sung by Asha Bhosle. Shalimar in Sanskrit, approximates to, abode of love, however it became a colloquial term in places of India to represent a beautiful place, and simply beautiful. Eventually from this came, Shalimar gardens, and temples, which were the most beautiful places in ancient India.
