Zindagi Ki Talash Mein Hum English Translation

Zindagi Ki Talash Mein Hum was a song from the 1991 film Saathi, and approximates to in my search for life. Sameer wrote it, and Kumar Sanu sang it. The music was by Nadeem Saifi, and Shravan Rathod. They made a great team and almost all of their songs were huge hits.

The words and lyrics are exquisite, and can apply to almost anyone. The singing by Kumar Sanu is so beautiful, that it might make you cry when you hear it. In search for life, we all come close to death; because there are many different ways, life can be lost. This song describes the human condition, that in search for just one happiness, we are willing to endure so much pain, and unhappiness. Often people change in its pursuit making compromises, ending up becoming something that scares even them.

This song makes you appreciate that no success is worth the price, if it means losing your soul. It is definately not worth it, if in the process, it results in inflicting pain on others. Once you set foot upon that road of compromises, then you lose your very self, because those roads usually have no destinations (manzil).

I was embarrassed (to see it) through my own eyes saw

Some parts of this song always reminds me of my time when I was studying at King’s College. Unfortunately, my father was brutally attacked by an English racist thug, and suddenly my life and world turned upside down. I ended up working in the evenings to help pay the family bills. When I look back, I think I was crazy to even attempt studying and working at the same time. I think of the sadness I experienced in the hope for just one bit of happiness. These were certainly journeys without any destination, and nothing came out of it...
