The Beocenter 5000 (type 1804) was a complete system consisting tuner, amplifier, record player, and cassette deck. The amplifier was 40-watts (rms) per channel with 4 Ω loads. The record player requires the MMC20E stylus cartridge, which is extremely expensive to replace. This is a large system with dimensions 72 cm × 9.5 cm × 38 cm, and mass 16.5 kg. This unit is often for sale on eBay and the price can vary according to condition. A pre-used unit in good working condition can cost in the order of hundreds of pounds onwards. Repairs and service can be expensive due to the parts being expensive, and therefore that is something to watch out for.
