The Beomaster 8000 was a receiver amplifier manufactured by the Bang Olufsen Corporation and consisted of types 1901, 1903, 1905, and 1907. The photograph shows type 1905, which had a power output rating of 150-watts per channel (4 Ω impedance). Its dimensions were 67 cm × 15 cm × 37 cm, and mass 21 kg. The Beomaster series was the ultimate in hi-fi design and construction with features not found anywhere else by other manufacturers. I was particularly impressed with the built-in op-amp filters which are extremely useful. Filter 1 has cut-off frequency of 7 kHz and 12 dB/octave roll-off, whilst filter 2 has 10 kHz cut-off and 6 dB/octave roll-off. There is also a Baxandall-type bass and treble control with 10 dB boost and cut facility. All of this technology goes very well with the built-in phono preamplifier, so you can enjoy your records in a way never before experienced.

The final power output stage consists of three TIP141 (NPN) and three TIP146 (PNP) transistors in a complementary symmetrical push-pull configuration. These are extremely powerful and robust Darlington transistors with collector current rating of 10 A. They are fairly low-cost, which makes repairs to a broken unit very economical. Consequently, even a unit that has no sound is highly desirable, as it can be repaired economically.
