Ken Ishiwata -- Marantz Special Edition Range History

Ken Ishiwata was the architect of the Marantz Special Edition (SE) programme. This article shows some of the design engineering that went into the SE range that made it so exceptional, and covers PM-40SE, PM30SE, CD-60SE, and CD-50SE. These models have leading-edge technology that makes them highly desirable in the pre-used markets even today. As an engineer, I have always admired their wonderful printed circuit board designs and build quality. The SE range also had custom components making it very desirable.
