HMV Model 2404 Electronic Engineering

The HMV Model 2404 is a vintage amplifier and a British product that was extremely well designed and engineered. If we look at the components, it has those wonderful Mullard “tropical fish�? type capacitors, which are expensive to buy today. The preamplifier potentiometer controls still all work today as they did when new out of the factory. The quality of the British manufactured components such as the resistors and capacitors is also significantly superior compared to the modern Chinese-made components we rely upon today. Apart from the slight cosmetic damage on the side of the front panel, my amplifier is a survivor model that still sounds amazing. I do not think I shall be selling it anytime soon even if someone made me a large offer. Though you could try and send an offer!
