Lepy LP-2020A No Sound
I bought a pre-used broken LEPY LP-2020A which was not producing any sound and traced the fault to a broken earth terminal on the RCA socket. The RCA socket has plastic claws that usually pass through the board to lock it in place. However since the board is nice and thick, the claws are not sufficiently long enough to pass all the way through and consequently the socket remains loose. Due to the play in the socket, eventually it will break, as the user is constantly changing the input wires. This could be a simple tolerance issue that affects a small number of builds and can easily be rectified. Apart from this, I thought everything else was very good.
I used a recycled RCA socket, however its claws were not sufficiently long enough to pass through the board, therefore it will break as well over time. Consequently, I used a hot-melt glue gun to secure it with some glue on the sides.
