TIP29 and TIP30 Amplifier Design

This complementary-symmetry amplifier design article is by the Texas Instruments Corporation. It is a wonderful educational article that shows the design principals involved in making a 5-watt or a 2.5-watt power amplifier using the TIP29 and TIP30 transistors. These power transistors are very low-cost and readily available at the auction site and all that is needed is a top class tested design that hobbyists can follow. This is one of the nicest and simplest designs that I remember building when I was a young lad and it worked very well for me.
