Yamaha DSP-E390 Electronic Engineering

Here are some photographs showing the inside electronic engineering of the DSP-E390. I thought the build-quality was excellent, and as you can see, this amplifier has unusual black-coloured circuit boards. It has a huge transformer for producing the split-rail power supply for the power amplifier circuitry. There is also a photograph showing the servo control volume, together with the motor. The vertical board is part of the sound decoder circuitry and as you can see, it uses a huge amount of discrete components.
