NAD T512 Main PC Board

Main PC Board Removed

The PC Board connects to the main board via a pair of mating plug and socket arrangement.

The PC board consists of the main microprocessor and codec circuitry for DVD MPEG decoding. This board handles all the digital processing of the unit.

This board also contains the CD transport servo circuitry, and as a result, any problems with the servo may involve changing this board. This very complex board is highly populated with components. There are very few people in the UK capable of diagnosing and repairing any faults on it.

When the player switches ON, there should be "HELLO" displayed on the front display. If you do not see this, then check socket P5901 and P4301, or preferably reseat the board.

The good news is that there are many test points on the board. The bad news is that you have to disconnect the board to see them!
