Alba STB8 Inside

The Alba STB8 had extremely good picture quality because they shielded the digital processors under thick metal plating. The metal shielding prevents digital noise entering the analogue parts of the circuitry, as well as providing a heatsink function to the processor.

It has a switched mode power supply occupying a very small space on the circuit board. On a well-used one, this part of the circuit board became dark, but it was still very reliable.
