There are many different makes of Helping Hands on eBay and Amazon, and this one arrived in a nice smart box like this. For the aspiring electronic engineer it takes around ten seconds to assemble. When you are buying on eBay, it is a good idea to ask the sellers some questions, as there are many sellers, and many models available with varying quality.

I thought that this one was good value, at just under five pounds. I do not know if it is the best helping hands, but it comes close. It is extremely good value for students.

These tools generally require very little maintenance. Just keep them free from dirt and solvents for a long life and trouble free use.
