Sony TR-3550 Tuning Capacitor and Ferrite Coil

The Sony TR-3550 has a ferrite coil antenna and a variable tuning capacitor. If you have been building crystal radios, then you might be interested in seeing these components. It is an extremely neat construction, as one would expect of Sony from that era. I love the layout and the unique way the batteries are positioned.

One of the things I like about this radio is how the batteries seem to last almost forever. The last time I changed them was in 2001.
