Perstel DR101 Digital Radio Tuner

The DR101 has this tiny little digital tuner circuit encased in metal to provide protection against radio frequency (RF) noise. One of the reasons why this radio works so well in noisy RF environments is because of this tuner design.

Tuner Circuit

This photograph shows the reverse side of the board. As you can see, a system of header pins and sockets enable this PCB to connect to the main one. Stacking the boards in this way saves space. The date mark of 2004 indicates the manufacturing date of the PCB.
