Personal Telecom Inc (Perstel) is a manufacturer and supplier of digital radio solutions. The UK based division is located in Surrey, Croydon.

Perstel is a long established manufacturer of pocket digital radios and MP3 players. They were one of the first ones to bring DAB digital radios and MP3 players to the UK consumer.

Service and Support

They provide an excellent service and support for their products. I was recently in touch with the firm for a replacement aerial for my DR101, as the screw on the original one had come loose and I had lost the aerial. They were kind enough to attach a replacement aerial to the radio free of charge. Considering, the radio is many years old and discontinued, many firms would have charged a fortune, or not provide any support at all, however this firm really stands by their products.

I was very happy to write a letter to their Managing Director, Mr Chris Patel, to thank him for the excellent support, and to let him know that I was glad I had bought a Perstel. Mr Chris Patel is of course that same legendary giant who built Maxon Electronics and turned it into a leading manufacturer of quality electronics products.
