Gakken EX-Kit EX-15
The EX Kit, version EX-15, is an EX-System manufactured in Taiwan by the Gakken Company. This is their basic entry-level kit, which comes with 21 Denshi blocks and allows up to 15 experiment circuits. The circuits are the first 15 in the list of 150 as listed in the manual. This kit is upgradable, and the addition of EX-A parts would increase the number of buildable circuits to 30, which is the same as their EX-30 Kit. Gakken introduced six versions of this kit EX-15, EX-30, EX-60, EX-100, EX-120, and EX-150. All of these are upgradable to the final version EX-150, if you can find the parts. The EX-15 does not come with the Perspex cover, meter, microphone, probes, IC amplifier module, or CdS cell. However, these were available separately for purchase as upgrade parts. In 1980, the Design Council chose this kit for display at their "Challenge of the Chip" exhibition.

The basic entry-level versions such as EX-15 and EX-30 are getting rare, as they were one of the first ones introduced in the market. If you see any going for sale on eBay then you need to snap them up fast as collectors are usually looking for them.
