Grundig C 430 Stereo Cassette Recorder
The C 430 was a stereo cassette recorder manufactured by the Grundig Corporation and available in 1975/76. Coined "Stereo Automatic", it was an early form of stereo cassette deck with some automatic features. This unit had the advantage of having a built-in loudspeaker so you could hear music in monophonic. However for stereo listening, you had to connect it to an external amplifier. It also had a tape sensor and could detect chromium dioxide tapes and automatically set the necessary bias. It had a very bold electronic design consisting of discrete components and an IC.
