Grundig CN 700

return

The CN 700 (also written as CN730) was a stereo cassette deck manufactured by the Grundig Corporation and available in 1975/76. In the mid 70s, Grundig had rolled out the CN700, CN 710, CN 720, and CN 730, which all had a similar look but with variations in functionality. The latter two models had twin level meters and slider controls, whilst the former were basic models with only one meter. All of these units shared the same well-crafted tape transport mechanism, and electronic technology.

The CN700, which was the first in this series, had dynamic noise limiting system (DNL) for playback. It had a special sensor switch to detect chromium dioxide cassettes and automatically set the correct bias level.
