The CN 730 Hi Fi (also written as CN730) was a Hi-Fi stereo cassette deck manufactured by the Grundig Corporation and available in 1975/76. It was for use with high-end systems and conformed to the DIN 45 500 standard. It had a wide frequency response when using chromium dioxide cassettes and low wow and flutter. A great advantage of this deck is that it has Dolby B system, and additional noise limiting circuitry. It was one of the earliest to have full auto-stop mechanism, where the unit automatically stopped at the end of tape even in fast-forward, and rewind modes. It has an interesting electronic design where the amplifier consists of four modules that were easily removable.

These units had a belt drive system, and the belts usually perish by this time, hence if you have one that is not working then it is easily repairable. Alternatively, you can always sell it on eBay and make a packet on a good day.
