Grundig 4D Stereo

The Grundig 4D Stereo system was available on the RTV 820, RTV 901, and Studio 1600a Hi-Fi. It was a pseudo quadraphonic effect constructed from stereophonic signal source. The rear loudspeakers received the difference signal of the two front channels to create "ambiphonic" sound.

SQ Matrix System

Another form of quadraphonic system, which is more advanced, is the SQ Matrix. The Grundig STUDIO 2040 Hi-Fi meets the requirements of this system. The SQ Matrix System incorporates four-channel recording, two-channel transmission, and four channel playback.
