Hitachi Hi-fi -- 1978

Hitachi Hi-fi -- 1978

The Hitachi Corporation made some wonderful hi-fi back in 1978, and much of this technology is still not surpassed today. If you are buying pre-used hi-fi or are a collector then the things to look out for are their wonderful Dynaharmony Class G amplifiers which were unique and wonderful sounding. Their record player turntables were also very high quality utilising the Unitorque motor. They also employed this motor in some of their high-end tape decks thereby producing astonishing low wow-and-flutter figures. Hence, it goes without saying that when these units come up for sale at on-line auctions, there is always a huge amount of interest.

I hope that this article and its associating pages help you in understanding the importance of this technology so you may make a better choice when buying pre-used hi-fi. If it helps you, then why not drop some pennies at the USHMM site through my donate links.
