Review

During the 1992 Olympic Games, Panasonic were the worldwide video equipment sponsor, and this video cassette recorder was the pinnacle of technological evolution. They packed it with powerful electronic processing such as separate luminance and chrominance processing of the video signal resulting in extremely clear video images. In many ways it was very much like JVCs offering of that time with auto head cleaning, NICAM stereo sound, and jog control. An interesting feature of this unit is that it allows one to connect a professional editing terminal via a 5-pin connector on the rear panel. These units sometimes come up for sale in pre-used conditions and they are highly desirable simply for the fact that they are Super VHS units.
