Philips RH590

The RH590 was a stereo amplifier marketed in 1972 by the Philips Corporation. It was a part of their record playing system consisting of the GA160 record deck, and RH412 loudspeakers. The amplifier power output was 10-watts (rms) per channel into 8 Ω loads, and the total harmonic distortion was less than (or equal to) 1 %. It has the psychological bass compensation system (loudness control) that prevents the loss of bass when the volume is low. The GA160 record deck could play up to nine records and has viscous damping mechanism in the tone-arm. It comes with a GP205 ceramic cartridge with diamond LP stylus. The RH412 loudspeakers consist of 6.5-inch dual cone drivers with 10-watt power handling capacity. Their volume is 12-litres, and dimensions 253 mm × 353 mm × 185 mm.
