Philips RH720
The RH720 was a tuner amplifier marketed in 1972 by the Philips Corporation. It was a part of their record playing system consisting of the GA212 record deck, and RH405/01Z loudspeakers. The amplifier power output is 30-watts (rms) per channel into 4 Ω loads, and the total harmonic distortion was less than (or equal to) 1 %. This amplifier also allows the connection of an additional pair of loudspeakers for STEREO 4 surround sound. The tuner section covers FM, MW, LW, and SW bands. It is also equipped with automatic frequency control (AFC), six touch-sensitive FM presets, and tuning meter. The GA212 record deck has a DC motor with tacho generator speed control. It comes with the GP400 magneto-dynamic cartridge. The RH405/01Z loudspeakers have 30-watts power handling capacity, and consist of an 8-inch woofer, 5-inch midrange, and 1-inch tweeter. Its crossover frequencies are 500 Hz and 5000 Hz, with 48 Hz bass response. The cabinet volume is 25-litres with dimensions 345 mm × 460 mm × 220 mm.
