Aiwa AF-5600 Service Manual

The AF-5600 (including AF-5600E and AF-5600K) was a music centre manufactured by the Aiwa Corporation in 1978. It had built-in turntable, tuner, cassette deck, and amplifier. The amplifier was 45-watts per channel (music output power) into 8-Ω speaker loads. The turntable mechanism was 2-speed direct-drive fully automatic, with a 20-pole 30-slot motor.

These old music centres with fully automatic turntables are very desirable these days as they take such little space and have all the convenience in one unit measuring 606 mm × 211 mm × 460 mm. This was a lovely bit of electronic engineering consisting of 10 ICs, 1 FET, 78 transistors, 42 diodes, and 12 LEDs. These units are becoming rare, hence one in good working order and condition may fetch a tidy sum on a good auction day.
