Aiwa CP-888 Service Manual

Service Manual

The CP-888 was a complete hi-fi system manufactured by the Aiwa Corporation in 1987. It consisted of the cassette amplifier section (GC-S888), turntable (GP-SE888), and remote control (RC-T888). It had a 2-speed belt-driven turntable with VM type cartridge. The full specifications below will provide more information.

This is a wonderful bit of Japanese electronic engineering that has some good points such as a built-in graphic equalizer, remote control, and turntable. This is a fairly rare unit that one does not see often these days. In the pre-used auction markets, the turntable and speakers are usually missing; however a complete unit in good working order could fetch a packet on a good day.
