This was a lovely sounding unit with 5 mW per channel output (10 % THD / 16 Ω). it also had smooth speed due to the elaborate capstan motor controlled by an IC. For the power supply, it required a BN-R12 Ni-Cd rechargeable battery to operate providing 3.3-hours operation time. The charger was AC-R15B/AC-R15E and took 2.5-hours to provide 90 % of full charge. This unit could also operate utilising standard R6 battery by the use of a special battery adapter. The drive belt for this unit is fairly simple to replace because there is easy access to it.
