KR-V6050 Back Sockets
These are the connector sockets for the surround channels, and the minimum speaker resistance is 8 Ω for centre and rear speakers.
As you can see, if you are going to use either Set A or Set B -- either one or the other but not together -- then the minimum speaker resistance is 4 Ω. However, you should not use both sets simultaneously because the speakers are internally connected in parallel and that therefore lowers the effective resistance down to 2 Ω.
If you are planning on using Set A and Set B together then the minimum speaker resistance allowed is 8 Ω. Since the sets are connected in parallel the effective resistance drops to 4 Ω per channel.
If you overload the power output stage then the power transistors will overheat. This amplifier has very good thermal overload detection circuitry and if it starts to overheat then you will see the PROTECT error on the front display panel.
As well as a plethora of RCA sockets, there is also a phono input stage for connecting a record player. The equalisation circuitry is superior and provides a great sound quality from records.
