Polaroid 600 Back Case
The Polaroid 600 extreme had an ergonomic design; it had more contours to match the average palm of a hand, and the user could hold it with one hand due to the securing side strap. This was a huge leap forward from the previous models, which had the shape of a box and required two hands to hold it. Hence, with this camera, one held it with the left hand with the strap over the palm securing it, and then using the right hand to engage the shutter release button.
There is a huge market for second-hand and refurbished Polaroid 600 cameras. If you have one of these in the attic, then it is a good idea to contact camera specialists to get a cost evaluation. It might be worth a packet.
Hand Strap
The hand strap and the viewfinder are made of soft rubber. The case is highly durable and can take knocks -- within reason -- without breaking.
Viewfinder
The size of the viewfinder window is deceptive, because there is a tiny square opening of approximately 8 mm × 8 mm inside that, which you have to peer through to frame the shot. It was extremely uncomfortable.
Frame Counter
This little oval window showed the counter display for the number of frames left in the film cartridge.
