Olympus OM10 Removing the Film Advance Lever

Removing the film advance lever requires unscrewing the top screw, which has two small holes on its head. A special tool is usually required for this, without which, you are likely to scratch the head. Removing the screw reveals a chrome washer, which simply comes off together with the lever.

If there is rust along the shaft, then it will not rotate freely, and you could find the lever does not return fully to home position. Usually, removing the rust and a little lubrication fixes this issue.
