Antex Vintage Soldering Iron SK1 Box

The Model SK.1 Kit arrives in a storage display box that could also double as a stand to hold the soldering iron together with the bits.

Back in its time, the SK.1 kit separated the professionals from the pretenders. Unfortunately, these days, you will not find this tool or the professionals! I just recently cleaned all the soldering bits to make them shiny again, and ready for that special avionics job.

Antex Bits

As you can see, there are these neat little plastic clips to hold the soldering bits. This particular bit shown above was the largest in size, which I never used as most of my work, was for finer electronics work.

Holder / Stand

These plastic tabs keep the soldering iron secured when not used. It is great for storage purposes. For holding the soldering iron, I use a special stand.

Antex Bit

These bits are amazing super quality. They are most definitely long life and I can vouch for that. This original bit came with the kit in 1973!

Storage Box

This is the back part of the box, which has a very nice sky-blue coloured plastic that seemed very colourful and vivid when I was a whippersnapper. I hope I have managed to capture some of that here because you are seeing a piece of history.
