Poundland Radio inside Look

The Signalex radio uses conventional components on this side of the printed circuit board (PCB), whilst on the other side is the main radio IC. There are many ceramic disc capacitors, and two transistors. The rotary volume control has a switch as well, which saves space.

With the improvements in IC technology, radios are set to become smaller and cheaper.

The CR2016 lithium button cell mounts on a plastic tray, which slides between the metal clips for easy replacement.
