Roberts R881 TA8132AN Radio Chip

The Roberts R881 has the TA8132AN radio integrated circuit (IC) manufactured by the Toshiba Corporation. This is a 3 V single chip radio solution for portable devices and was widely used in Walkmans. This chip contains the AM and FM intermediate frequency (IF) blocks, as well as the multiplex.

Toshiba are of course one of the leaders in IC designs, and this was one of the best chips used by many manufacturers.
