Hepburn Mk2 Display

The Hepburn Mk2 LCD panel is fitted to the top PCB. Since I had to check the power switch, I figured I had better clean the LCD panel as it had a huge amount of dirt stuck to it. Unfortunately, on my pre-used radio the LCD was very badly scratched as the previous user did not take care of it.

One downside with this radio is that there was no protection for the LCD, and since the top layer is the polarizer, if it gets scratched, then one has to replace the whole LCD. Therefore, be very careful not to scratch it or use harsh chemicals to clean it.
