Philips D1720 Tuning Capacitor and Ferrite Coil

If you have been following the crystal radio projects in the Radios section of this site, then you might be interested in seeing this extremely small ferrite rod and tuning capacitor. They work very well and the AM reception is excellent. The next time you experiment with a matchbox size crystal radio, you might try making the ferrite coil antenna small to see how well it works.
