Spectrum+ Keyboard Flex Circuit
The Sinclair Spectrum+ has a pair of flex circuits sandwiched together to form the contacts of the keyboard. Pressure on the contacts makes an electrical connection. For the most part it is reliable, however if it fails it is usually at the ribbon cable part, especially the section in contact with the heatsink regulator.
Repair
It is of course possible to repair the damaged tracks with conductive ink, to keep the keyboard working. However, many people place insulation between the heatsink and the ribbon cable to prevent damage occurring in the future.
