Sony MDR-V55 Ear Pads

Replacing the MDR-V55 ear pads is very easy, and the new replacements were very affordable on the online-auction site. When I bought my pre-used headphones, the ear pads were heavily soiled and worn out. Consequently, I had to throw the soiled ones away, and took the headphones apart for disinfecting and cleaning. I managed to buy a new set of pads for a few pounds and they came all the way from China. For hygienic reasons ear pads should be replaced periodically, however many people do not know how to and where to source cheap replacements. I hope that the photographs in this article will make this task easier.

I used a strip of plastic credit card to push the edges of the ear pads into the thin channel gap. It requires some patience; however, it is possible to install the new ones without too much effort.
