Sony MDR-ZX310 Folding Headband

The folding headband concept is not a new one and anyone who had a portable stereo cassette player in the 80s and 90s will remember owning a folding pair. I remember some cheap ones from China where the folding hinge/joint was not properly formed resulting in the cups not sitting symmetrically. It will be interesting to see how the MDR-ZX310 wear, and whether they last.

It is interesting to see the way the swivel joint moves, and I wonder if it will be intuitive for people to fold them in that way. The joint makes a clicking sound as it locks into place.
