BA-35 Solar Inside Look

BA-35 PCB

The BA-35 Solar has a robust build quality, and unlike other calculator designs, which used flexible PCB, this one uses a conventional printed circuit board (PCB). The markings on the PCB indicate the manufacturing date, which is week 28 of the year 2002.

The LCD and processor are on the same board, whilst the keyboard is on a dedicated board with a ribbon cable connecting them both. There is a capacitor, which stores the charge from the solar cell for temporary purposes such as maintaining the memory registers in case the light levels drop too much.
