How to change the XL830L Battery

The XIOLE XL830L has a PP3 battery in the battery compartment at the back. To change the battery you need to take the yellow protective cover off. It simply pulls off without any problem.

Back Cover

There are two Philips head screws in the recessed holes, which will require removing.

Battery Compartment

Digital meter batteries can last for many years; consequently, the case does not have a battery hatch.

Once the back half of the case is open, you can see the battery with standard connector terminals. Simply remove the battery and dispose of it safely according to the safety regulations of your country. I usually take it to my local recycling centre where they know exactly what to do with it.

PP3 Battery

Replace the battery with a similar type such as a PP3, or 6F22.
