The PS-LX40P, PS-LX43P, and PS-LX44P, lack a built-in mains transformer and associated power supply circuitry, resulting in a very simple construction. It has a tiny PCB that is simply for joining wires. The micro leaf switch wires, input power, and motor wires, converge to this board, because the leaf switch controls the power to the motor.
In this design, they use a very simple servo circuit, which is within the motor assembly. This tiny circuit contains the AN6652 (IC1) chip as the basis of the servo.
In this circuit, switch SW2 controls the feedback signal to pin 2 of IC1, and the VR2 preset determines the level of feedback.
It is common to find these turntables with the audio and power cables cut as people try to adapt them to their own hi-fi systems. Perhaps a nice mod would be to add some RCA sockets and a DC power socket.
The manufacturing origin of the turntable is Taiwan.
