Pioneer CT-1170W Drive Belts

Mechanism

CT-1170W transport mechanism requires three drive belts. The main drive belt connecting to the flywheel is flat type, whilst the other two are square-cut type. The square-cut belts can be replaced easily without having to take the mechanisms out; however replacing the flat one is more time consuming. For this, one has to remove the metal plate that goes over it, and before that can be done; one has to remove the mechanism out of the front plastic fascia. Unfortunately, to remove the mechanism, one has to first remove the cassette door. Here are some approximate dimensions (circumference) of the belts employed in this deck.

  • Flat belt 24 cm circumference and 3 mm width
  • Square-cut belt 12 cm
  • Square-cut belt 7 cm
  • Counter belt 16 cm
