Sanyo Walkman PCB

The Sanyo M3330 printed circuit board (PCB) has a wonderful design and layout. I sometimes wish we could do something like this here in the UK, however the Chinese are now the leaders in this technology.

Auto Shut Service Hatch

The PCB has a rectangular cutout and you can see the rubber surface responsible for the automatic shutdown mechanism. It is possible to clean the surface from here without having to remove the PCB.

The fabrication of a high quality PCB is one of the most important steps towards a good product, and the Japanese realised this straight away, which is why their consumer electronics products are always popular.

Soldering

This section of the PCB shows the soldering of the SIL audio chips. The soldering on this PCB is excellent and there are no dry joints or defects.
