Sony WM-BF64 Radio
Before the time of PLL Digital Tuning, Sony engineers had to find novel ways to miniaturise radio electronic circuitry, which is usually bulky due to coils and capacitors. The WM-BF64 is a wonderful example of a good design, because they managed to install the PCB for the radio within the cassette compartment lid.
The cassette lid houses the radio circuit.
The radio station presets are hidden under the cassette lid.
The station tuning control is at the side, housed within the cassette lid.
