JVC AX-V4 Idling Current Adjustment

The AX-V4 (also known as AX-V4BK), amplifier has idling current adjustment facility which should be checked with a digital meter to ensure it is at minimum. This adjustment is of course only for experienced and qualified engineers. If you change any of the audio transistors, then it is a good idea to run through this adjustment as shown in the service manual. It involves adjusting presets VR741 and VR742, whilst measuring voltage across the ceramic resistor pins.
