Sharp SA-606H Radio Tuner Stage

The Sharp SA-606H has a heterodyne tuner with the Toshiba TA7054P front end, which helps reduce the component count. The radio tuner sounds nice, and the channel separation for FM stereo is impressive. It seems to have a greater separation than my DAB radio. Living close to the Crystal Palace transmitter, I used a very short 1-metre length of wire for the aerial and the reception was good. This was a typical configuration used on most of the vintage radios and chances are that it will be the same on yours.
